Very brief overview:

When you think of the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, what comes to mind are the leafy neighbourhoods with lush forests and a beautiful backdrop of the Cape Mountains. The Southern Suburbs are really picturesque. This part of Cape Town, South Africa like most regions is quite diverse.

Rondebosch is home to the University of Cape Town’s main campus. Vibrant streets, bargain shopping and a hippy atmosphere are what you will experience here. The award-winning shopping mall, Cavendish Square is situated a stone’s throw away. Newlands is an attraction for sports enthusiasts, who flock to sporting events at the Newlands Rugby Stadium.

Bishopscourt is the more sought-after area in the Southern Suburbs, in terms of property. Houses are elaborate and elite. Views from the Bishopscourt neighbourhood are stunning and there is easy access to some of Cape Town attractions – the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Cavendish Square and a 20min drive to the warm Indian Ocean. Constantia is also an impressive neighbourhood in the Southern Suburbs, it also one of the most expensive. It is famous for its wines and charming winelands scenery. There are many fine restaurants in Constantia.
